In short

Seoul is the center of K-pop. You can visit label buildings, album/merch shops and birthday cafes, and (with some effort) go to concerts and music-show tapings.
The big labels don't do public office tours. HYBE (Yongsan), SM/KWANGYA (Seongsu), JYP (near Olympic Park), YG (Mapo): take a photo of the outside and shop nearby, but don't hang around waiting for idols.
KWANGYA@SEOUL (SM's fan store) is the easiest to just walk into, with albums, lightsticks and AR photo booths.
Tickets are the hard part. Use Interpark Global / Melon Global (English), because Korean sites often reject foreign cards/numbers. Buy from home if you can. Top groups sell out in minutes.

Whether you've been a fan for years or just got into it, here's how to do K-pop in Seoul and avoid the usual first-timer mistakes. Get around with Naver/Kakao Map and your T-money/Climate Card. All the spots are near a metro station.

The label buildings

HYBE (Yongsan): BTS, SEVENTEEN, LE SSERAFIM, TXT, ENHYPEN and more. Outside photos only. Nearby there's a public Weverse-linked space and changing artist pop-ups, plus fan cafes in the back streets.
SM / KWANGYA@SEOUL (Seongsu): NCT, aespa, Red Velvet, RIIZE. The B1 fan store is the main draw, with albums, merch and AR photo booths (usually ~10:30am–8pm; check @kwangya.official). Seongsu itself is a trendy cafe area.
JYP (near Olympic Park): TWICE, Stray Kids, ITZY, NMIXX. Outside photos. It's quieter, so combine it with a walk in Olympic Park.
YG (Mapo/Hapjeong): outside photo spot near Hongdae.

Fan etiquette matters: these are workplaces. Don't block entrances, wait at parking exits or make noise. Companies have publicly asked fans to stop. Take your photo of the building and move on, and a polite bow to staff goes a long way. Idols use tinted vans and private garages, so you'll have a much better time at the fan cafes nearby.

Merch, albums & photocards

Album/goods shops: Music Korea (Myeongdong), Hyang Music (Namdaemun), SMTOWN & STORE, COEX Artium (multi-label), and the Hongdae Kpop Store (tourist discounts, photocard machines). Together they make a classic one-day Line 2/4 route.
Everything's cheaper here than abroad, so leave room in your luggage. Even convenience stores sell character/drama merch.
Birthday & cupsleeve cafes: pop-ups run by fans for idols' birthdays (mostly Hongdae, Seongsu, Yongsan). Order a drink and you get themed photocards/stickers. Find them by searching "생일 카페" + member name on X/DCinside.

Concerts & music shows

Concert tickets: Interpark Global and Melon Global are the English options. Fan-club pre-sales (Weverse/Fab) need a membership. Have a working international card ready and get used to the site beforehand, because top groups sell out fast.
Music-show tapings (Inkigayo, M Countdown, Music Bank): hard to get into. You usually need fan-club membership and a specific album to enter, which is harder for foreign fans (some tours sell access).
Fan signs are possible for mid-tier groups (buy the promo album in Korea to enter the draw).
No ticket? Fan cafes hold group streams and pop-up events on concert days.

Common questions

Can I tour the HYBE/SM/JYP offices?

No, none of them do public office tours. You can take photos outside and visit fan stores/pop-ups nearby (KWANGYA is the best walk-in).

Will I see idols there?

Very unlikely. They use private entrances. Don't wait around. Go to the fan cafes instead.

How do I buy concert tickets as a foreigner?
